As 2011 is about to come to a mere existence there’s a lot that has happened.

I have met some really cool people who I can call friends for life. They are very special to me and will always be in my heart forever. They are the most talented and gifted and intelligent people I have met! They are kind and always have a cheerful disposition whenever I am around them!

I got to live in another city this past summer! Chicago was everything I wanted it to be! Got connected with amazing and hardworking people who are fighting for the voiceless and continue to bless the city! Saw some really cool bands, visited the art museum several times, I can say that I know how to get around the ‘L’ and the bus, and ate some really good food!

This year, I have decided that I want to continue working with refugees and immigrants. This means that I will go to graduate school for a Masters in Social Work. I have yet to decide where I’d like to go but Columbia University is high on my list! So, is the New School because of their certificate program in Arts Therapy. We will have to see what happens…

This summer, I will be living in Grand Rapids, MI! I will be doing an internship with PARA (a refugee resettlement program) which is part of Bethany Social Services. I’m looking forward to the experience and to all the beautiful people I will get to meet and help out and love on!

Next Fall, my last semester of school, I hope to study in Instanbul, Turkey at Fatih University! I am thinking long and hard on this one.

I do know that for my 30th year I will be committing myself to one year of life in missions with Adventures in Missions participating in the World Race! Excited for this chapter in my life!

I’ve also picked up the paint brushes again! I hope to turn some of the latest paintings into magnets and sell for partial income!

God has been very good! He has stuck by me and protected me and healed me! I am loved and blessed and honored to be His daughter!

Excited to bring in 2012!

Unless money shows up soon for me to pay for this years tuition I may not be able to go back… #FML

Today, I get to help one of my Saudi friends with her English homework! Then, off to work…

Sprawled out on the couch with a plugged up nose and what feels like a ton of bricks on my chest. I work in six hours.
